Since graduating college, Lon dreamt of owning his own construction business. Now, his dreams are becoming a reality as Watson Development began constructing duplexes and townhomes!
In 1984, Lon graduated college in Havre, Montana with a degree in Construction Technology. The summer of graduation, he began roofing houses as an independent contractor; this is when his dreams of owning his own construction company took root. Then, for the next 4 years, Lon went to work as a heavy equipment operator/foreman for a construction company…
In 1989, Lon began working for a Surveying/Engineering Firm in Holdrege, Nebraska. During his 11 year tenure there, he learned valuable information about site/infrastructure design and development which would help to lay the groundwork for his future endeavor. In 2000, Lon started working for Carlson Software in Maysville, KY, and has been there for over 20 years. He currently holds the position “Director of Technical Support”.
Everyone who knows Lon knows that he has a very strong attention to detail and takes the utmost pride in his work. (His friends joke that he draws a blueprint of his breakfast.) His creativity knows no bounds, and he won’t accept anything less than perfection.
Watson Development believes in supporting local businesses – which is why they’ve shopped local for everything from lumber to countertops. They also value family – and the whole family is involved in this exciting endeavor! Lon and his wife Teri have been married for more than 30 years. They, along with their 4 children, are closely working together to build and market these gorgeous luxury duplexes and townhomes.
